Averi’s senior session was everything that makes summer in Grand Junction so special — warm light, colorful flowers, and such an easygoing, joyful vibe. We photographed her session in July, which is the perfect time for anyone dreaming of a rose garden full of blooms. The colors were unreal — reds, pinks, purples, yellows, and whites surrounded by soft, lush greenery.

We started in the heart of the rose garden where Averi wore a white long-sleeve top with denim overalls that brought the perfect mix of casual and timeless. The simple textures of her outfit worked beautifully against the abundance of color and light in every direction.

From there, we moved over to the pavilion at the center of the garden and then to the nearby brick walls and seating areas. The contrast of classic architecture with all the surrounding blooms added so much variety to her gallery while keeping that cohesive, garden-inspired feel.

As the light softened toward sunset, we explored the more organic corners of the property — the old silos and wood barn gave the session an earthy, natural finish. The sky turned slightly overcast, which created that dreamy, even glow that every photographer loves. For this last part of her session, Averi changed into a simple black top that photographed beautifully against the warm tones of the barn wood and the soft summer sky.
