WHAT SHOULD YOU WEAR?
Planning the perfect wardrobe is extremely important to the outcome of your photos. You want your outfits to reflect you and your personality, but you also want to make sure that they are tied together to help create portraits that you are going to love down the road.
For your wardrobe, please pick out 4-5 outfits AT THE MINIMUM! Honestly, if you don’t know what to bring, bring your whole wardrobe! It is better to have too much than too little.
Avoid bringing clothes that are all white or black and make sure that you’re bringing clothes that are different from one another. Even though it may be a white dress and a white top, when we photograph you, it will look like you’re wearing the same outfit in a lot of the photos.
I love color, but not too much color. This means to avoid bringing clothes that are neon/fluorescent colored since this will reflect light in an unflattering way. If you’re not sure what colors work best for you, use the skin tone guide below! When picking your outfits, try to follow this as closely as possible to make sure that you love your photos and everything translates perfectly on camera!
Every senior should bring these items: Dark wash jeans and shoes that are easy to walk in (flats). We will be walking a lot and dark wash jeans pair well with everything!
When you’re done, please text me photos of your outfits laid out on the floor! You don’t have to be wearing them since this is just to give me an idea of how the colors will look with the locations I will help you pick and make sure that you have enough variety that we can create some amazing portraits!

Check Out the Style Guide!!!
Your Steps For Picking Locations, Vibes, & Outfits
The first step is to think about the TYPE of locations you want for your photos. Go through my Instagram and Pinterest and start looking at ane note of what catches your eye. Is it fields? Water? Urban environments? What is your preferred vibe?
Now that you know the general vibe that you want for your photos, look through the What to Wear Style Guide above. The guide has more color analysis information, where to shop, and different styles to look for based on your location preferences. For example, a flowy dress is more of a nature outfit. Leather pants or tight dresses wouldn’t fit the vibe.
Pick 5-6 outfits for your session. For these, it makes all the difference to have VARIETY! Mix up Urban and natural for sure and have at least 2-3 outfits for each. When putting your looks together, follow the guide’s recommendations so that everything isn’t the same style, color, and shape.
Check your email for the Senior Style Questionnaire I’ll send you and make sure that it is completed at least 2 weeks before your session and fill it out with as much detail as possible. If you don’t put much info, I’ll take that as a sign that you trust me with the majority of the decisions 😉
Once your Senior Style Questionnaire is filled out, please TEXT me photos of your outfits (you should already have my number for this). From there, I’ll take your combined outfits, style, and vibe to pair with locations that will match. You don’t have to do any location work because that’s my job for you – especially since we’ll be going to multiple.

Hair & Makeup
Leave your makeup kit at home! You won’t need to bring any makeup with you because your artist will have everything you need.
Leading up to your appointment, make sure you are staying hydrated and getting good sleep, especially 2-3 prior. There is nothing attractive about puffiness and bags under eyes. If you wake with any issues, apply some ice cold tea bags to your under eyes.
Don’t tan in the natural sun or tanning beds for an entire 2 weeks before your session to make sure you don’t look red or burned. And tan lines? I can’t edit those out. Your natural skin color photographs the best as it can actually reflect light beautifully.
For the entire week before your session, use a toothbrush to brush your lips vigorously. Then apply Vaseline or Mentholatum to your lips and sleep in it. this will make your lips smooth and ready for lipstick. Chapped lips are not camera friendly
Bring your Pinterest inspo of makeup and hairstyles that you like to the appointment with you. It gives the artist an idea of the type of look that you are going for.
Exfoliate with a physical exfoliator at least 2 days prior to your makeup session. It will help reduce dry patches and texturing. It will also smooth your skin which will make the foundation apply smoothly to your face.
Wash your face thoroughly before your session and apply a hydrating moisturizer. The foundation will apply more evenly if your face is prepped and ready before any color is applied.

Image Premiere
Your Gallery Unveiling & Ordering Session
Approximately two weeks after your session we will have your Image Premiere & Ordering Session in your home! This is when you get to see your image gallery reveal and see your images for the very first time!
During this time, we’ll sit together to LIVE DESIGN all of your products. What this means is that I will help you design exactly how your albums, image boxes, storyboards and wall art collections will look so that you know how everything looks before it is even sent off to my professional print labs!
Since this is the one time that we are together to order your products, it’s crucial that everyone who wants a say in the decision making process is there to help! This is when we’ll be placing your order and picking which products work best for your family.
Payment is also due this day. If you need a refresher on pricing, you can view the pricing in the Senior Magazine that you received prior to booking here.
Once we’ve finished your Image Premiere, I will finish designing all of your archive quality photo products, make sure everything looks perfect and get them sent off to the lab! After they have come back from the lab, I’ll check one more time to make sure everything is flawless, package them up, and email you letting you know that your photos are ready to be picked up!

Custom Wall Art
Custom Gallery Collections
At LRM, we believe that your images shouldn’t just sit on a USB drive collecting dust and that you should be displaying them for everyone you love to see.
Portraits document who you are as a person and that’s why at LRM we want to make sure you’re remembering those moments by offering custom wall art options for every client!
When you choose a wall art collection, we will design each canvas to make sure it’s optimized for your space as well as making sure everything looks great together using live design software, so you can see your space come to life.
If you believe you will be choosing a canvas or wall art collection, please make sure to have the spaces where you envision installing them measured so that we can best design the collection to fit perfectly in your home.
*If you have specific places that you think could a be a good fit for some wall art, take pictures and send them to me! I can create collection designs specifically with your walls so you can envision what it would look like up in your home before they’re even there.
